This peach iced tea tastes like a Southern summer afternoon. Ripe peaches are simmered into a quick syrup, then stirred into brewed black tea with a little lemon.

It takes ten minutes of active time and two hours to chill. You control the sweetness, so it is far lighter than store bought tea.

Can I use frozen peaches?

Yes. Frozen peaches work very well and are often picked at peak ripeness. Simmer them a few minutes longer than fresh.

Ripe fresh peaches give the most aroma, so use them when they are in season.
