Witch's blackberry lemonade is the easiest way to bring a little spooky magic to the table. Fresh blackberries are mashed with lemon and honey, then topped with cold sparkling water for a fizzy drink that turns a dramatic deep purple all on its own.

There is no food coloring, no syrup and no cooking. Just real fruit, five minutes and a glass that looks like it came straight out of a cauldron.

Why you'll love this Witch's Blackberry Lemonade

01

Deep purple color straight from the berries

02

Takes 5 minutes and one bowl

03

Kid friendly and alcohol free

04

Easy to turn into a party pitcher

Why blackberries make the perfect potion

Blackberries are packed with dark pigments, so even a single cup colors two full glasses. When the lemon hits the juice, the color brightens into a rich violet that looks fantastic by candlelight.

They also bring a gentle sweetness and a little tartness, which means you need very little honey to balance the drink.

Tips for the best Witch's Blackberry Lemonade

  • Taste before adding more honey since berry sweetness varies.
  • Keep the sparkling water and ice very cold.
  • Muddle a thin slice of ginger with the berries for a warm kick.

Easy variations

Still potion

Use cold still water instead of sparkling.

Ginger spell

Mash one thin slice of fresh ginger with the berries.

Mixed berry

Swap half the blackberries for blueberries or raspberries.

How to store Witch's Blackberry Lemonade

  • Keep the blackberry, lemon and honey base covered in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Add sparkling water and ice only when serving.
